Conductors,
Our movement has an origin. That origin is the National Black Student Leadership Development Conference (NBSLDC). Each year during early January, thousands of national student leaders of color convene in the DC Metropolitan area for three days, planning the the individual and collective future of our generation. Below, is a description of the conference
(courtesy of SELG.com),
The Conference is the vehicle utilized to create and empower this diverse collegiate leadership group, who attend predominantly white colleges and universities. NBSLDC is an intensive interactive three-day leadership experience. Held annually in January, this Conference provides the participants with an opportunity to increase their effectiveness as leaders. The Conference provides participants with information, exercises, and activities about leadership styles, practices, and theories. The Conference provides an arena for the observation, critical thinking, discussion, and group interaction, while affording participants avenues for networking and interacting with national and international leaders. Business organizations, educational institutions, and governmental agencies are also invited to meet with these selected leaders.
We need you in attendance, Conductors. You are the vehicle to this movement, and the conference is the vehicle to the dissemination of our movement!
To all attendees, here is a message from Conductor Justin,
Hope all is well. I am e-mailing you all today to propose that we have a meeting on the first night of the Conference to provide updates and talk about where we want to go with things this year. This is our rejuvenation period. Lets do it. We will meet up downstairs at some point the first nights around 9 pm. This meeting should not take very long and should allow us to lay a framework out for the remainder of the conference. I hope to hear from all of you soon,
Take care and stay blessed,
