Neo-Underground Railroad Conductors

Greetings Conductors!

We wanted to update you all about what the JMU NURC Chapter is up to next week during our Spring Break. We are going on an Underground Railroad simulation with stops in Baltimore, Philadelphia and Niagara Falls. We are basing our adventure on the 4 main pillars of NURC, Freedom, Education, Enlightenment and Empowerment. We plan to do a lot of filming and make a documentary when we return to help to spark the NURC movement in the future.

We were wondering if as respected JMU NURC Chapter alumni, you would each reply to this email with some inspiration, insight, words of wisdom, etc that we can use throughout our journey. We would love to hear anything that you have to say but a few questions that may help are below…

Why are you a conductor?
What enslaves you?
How has your conductor spirit changed the way that you live your post- JMU life?

I unfortuneatly don’t have contact with many of the incredible poeple who have affected this movement, so if you could forward this on to any other JMU NURC Alumni that would be interested in sharing that would be greatly appreciated!
