The Real Emancipation of our Generation. Join us in TDU for musical performances, live student band, spoken word, trivia, and more!
A “Real Talk” session is receiving major focus by conductors — We will be contacting local leaders and resident, and inviting them to participate in the RE-Generation Tour “Real Talk” session.
We also attend the local Harrisonburg Boys and Girls Club weekly, discussing issues relevant to the NURC mission and their lives. The goal is to establish strong bonds with the members, empowering them to motivate toward their dreams and combat stereotypes.
Cornel University Local Chapter Information
Through the hard work of Conductor Justin Davis, NURC Exec Board, NURC recently attained 501(c)3 status in the State of Virginia. Congratulations on an excellent job Conductor Justin! Conductor Justin also currently leads our NURC Conference Calls. The Cornel chapter is also readying for the RE-Generation Tour.
Rowan University Local Chapter Information
Our NURC Historian, Conductor Juliet, is currently gathering media and resources related to NURC and developing a NURC Archives & NURC History. Conductor Juliet also is preparing a NURC Newsletter that will be available to all conductors in the coming months. She is also working within a local community coffee shop to begin NURC discussions and arts performances.
Tidewater Community College Local Chapter Information
NURC at Tidewater Community College has been doing big things for the RE-Generation Tour “core” group of performers. Many auditions for the “core” acts of the RE-Generation Tour have occured in Tidewater, VA. Conductor Byron is a major catalyst for the planning of the RE-Generation Tour.
University of Richmond Local Chapter Information
In conjunction with Tidwater Community College, Univ. of Richmond’s Conductor Carlysle is helping in the planning efforts regarding the RE-Generation Tour.
